Permission granted
Apollo 11 traveled 240,000 miles in 76 hours to reach the moon’s lunar orbit.
The first thing on the schedule after landing on the moon was ‘take a nap’. The astronauts were so excited to get out and explore they called mission control and asked permission to skip their nap. Permission was granted.
After landing on Earth, the astronauts were required to sign customs forms upon which they declared to be carrying "moon rock and moon dust samples".
