Make some noise
When presented with a compsing assignment, it's not my instinct to immediately jump in and start creating. I usually do some research first. Listen to some things. Watch some things. Which is not a bad approach, unless you get stuck in that phase. Which does happen to me from time to time. So today I'm just going to plug in a guitar and make some noise. Enter into the unknown. See where that gets me.
Poetry in motion
“I have been correcting the proofs of my poems. In the morning, after hard work, I took a comma out of one sentence…. In the afternoon I put it back again.” – Oscar Wilde
20% chance
SEPTEMBER 26, 2017 - Walking Lily has become progressively more annoying. She meanders. An absent minded old lady. She stops to smell things constantly - in fact, being stopped is the main state of the walks: stopped with occasional going.
Horribly right
SEPTEMBER 28, 2017 - I was driving (engineering? conducting?) a train in my dreams last night and, of course, things were going horribly wrong, as is always the case in dreams. Do things ever go horribly right in dreams? That would be amazing.
I'm talking to you
When you hear somebody that you thought was cool talk to their dog in their special talk-to-their-dog voice and it’s so shockingly not in line with how you see them, and you try hard to not let it change the way you think about them, but it’s almost impossible.
Don't forget the celery

Something good
JUNE 29, 2017 — I catch myself eagerly reading flyers hung on kiosks and bulletin boards, hoping to find what? I don't know. Something good. A breakthrough. The answer.
Numb my twanging intellect
ROUTINES OF CREATIVE PEOPLE :: "I awake at 5:30, work until 8:00, eat breakfast at home, work until 10:00. At about 5:30 I numb my twanging intellect with several belts of Scotch and water. Then I cook supper, read and listen to jazz. I slip off to sleep at ten. I do pushups and sit-ups all the time." - Kurt Vonnegut
Man and wife
another mystery slide. don't know who the couple is, they could be someone's great grandparents by now.
